Abstract:
The article examines the essence and features of implementing principles of social responsibility in the management of international procurement within the context of the modern globalized economy. It is underscored that in the last decade, the conception of corporate social responsibility (CSR) has gained new significance in the purchasing activities of transnational corporations and large international companies. Special attention is paid to the formation of ethical standards in interaction with suppliers, compliance with environmental norms, ensuring fair labor conditions, preventing discrimination, and the use of child labor in supply chains. The author analyzes the main international initiatives and regulatory documents that define the framework for socially responsible sourcing, including the ISO 20400 standards, the UN Global Compact, and the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles. Emphasis has been placed on the practices of leading companies in the field of sustainable procurement and the role of supplier audits in ensuring compliance with social criteria. The article also discusses the challenges that arise when implementing socially responsible practices in international procurement processes, particularly in developing countries. Recommendations are made for integrating social aspects into procurement strategies at various management levels: from company policies to daily operational decisions. It is concluded that social responsibility in international procurement is not only an ethical imperative but also an important factor for the long-term competitiveness of businesses.
