Abstract:
The article develops a methodological approach to evaluating an enterprise’s strategic potential (ESP) using the network stochastic modeling instruments, based on a stochastic network model constructed on the principles of closed flow graphs, and multi-criteria analysis, including methods such as AHP, TOPSIS, SMART, SAW, LINMAP, VIKOR, COPRAS, PROMETHEE, ELECTRE, and others. This approach enables a comprehensive representation of the potential variability of external and internal factors affecting the state and dynamics of the ESP, as well as facilitates the identification of potential problem areas in the assessment process. For studying the ESP, it is proposed to use a list of local potentials grouped into four blocks: production, economic, managerial, and additional. A graphical representation of the network stochastic model for evaluating SPP is presented, where each W-function represents a specific procedure or operation within the strategic diagnostics process. The W-functions are detailed to cover the following key work blocks: formation of an expert group, strategic analysis of the enterprise’s macroenvironment, analysis of the microenvironment and competitive position, coordination of information on changes in the macro- and microenvironments, strategic analysis of the enterprise’s internal environment, development of future development scenarios, evaluation of local potentials of various units, integrated assessment of SPP, and formulation of relevant strategic recommendations, among others. The results obtained can serve as an information basis for improving key subsystems of strategic management, including external audit, internal diagnostics, and strategic decision-making.
