The Potential of Regional Market of Meat and Meat Products: Evaluation, Analysis and Perspective Directions for Modeling (p. 162 - 168)

The publication is aimed at coverage of the results of conducted studies on status of the regional market of meat and meat products, as well as examination of current approaches to evaluating the efficiency of functioning of such market. Feasibility and priority of researching the institutional, economic and social efficiency in using the potential of this market in their interrelationship and co-dependence has been substantiated. On the basis of available statistical data, calculations of values in terms of using the production and consumption potentials of the regional market of meat and meat products in the Ivano-Frankivsk region have been carried out. Perspective directions of research have been identified using the appropriate economic-mathematic tools. The proposed approaches to evaluating the efficiency of using the potential of regional food markets and, in particular, the market of meat and meat products in terms of social, economic and institutional efficiency, can become the basis for development of perspective directions of monitoring the food security level, as well as establishment of targeted programs to ensure food self-sufficiency and food security in the region and contributing to the development of agroindustrial complex at the national and regional levels.
