Abstract:
The aim of the article is to study the key elements of Chinese economic experience and identify opportunities for its adaptation to shape Ukraine’s post-war strategy of economic autonomy. The article examines the conception of «dual circulation», which has become a central element of China’s modern economic model and is based on strengthening the domestic market alongside expanding external economic activity. The methodological foundation of the study comprises comparative and institutional analysis, enabling a systematic assessment of the role of the State, innovative policies, and structural reforms in ensuring China’s sustainable economic development. The article analyzes mechanisms of the State support for high-tech industries, tools for financing innovation, the formation of strategic production clusters, and the development of national value chains. Particular attention is given to China’s policy on reducing external dependence in critical mechanical engineering, telecommunications, semiconductor manufacturing, and aerospace technologies. It is demonstrated that the combination of State coordination, private investment, and a centralized innovation strategy has enabled China to increase economic autonomy and accelerate technological development. The results obtained allow for a series of recommendations for Ukraine in the context of post-war recovery. These include developing the domestic market, modernizing industrial capacity, supporting knowledge-intensive sectors, forming national production associations, and investing in innovation infrastructure. The article emphasizes that Chinese approaches could help enhance Ukraine’s economic resilience and autonomy. The main conclusion of the study is that the adaptation of the structural elements of the Chinese experience is only possible if combined with democratic institutions and European standards of economic policy.

Keywords: Chinese development model, dual circulation, economic autonomy, innovation policy, post-war recovery, industrial modernization, economic resilience.
