Abstract: The aim of the study is to systematize the challenges and prospects of digitalizing enterprise production capacity management and to develop practical recommendations for the successful implementation of digital transformation in the context of Industry 4.0. The study employs methods of analysis and synthesis to summarize theoretical approaches, a system approach to examine digitalization as a holistic phenomenon, structural-logical analysis to categorize challenges by groups, and comparative analysis to juxtapose domestic and international experiences in industrial enterprise digitalization. Production capacity in the context of digitalization is defined as a system of five interrelated components, with an informational-digital component serving as the integrating link. The challenges are categorized into four groups: technological, organizational-managerial, financial-economic, and personnel-related. It has been determined that enterprises with mature digital infrastructure achieve a 20–30% increase in productivity and a 15–25% reduction in costs. Further research is needed on industry-specific digital transformation models, methodologies for assessing the digital maturity of Ukrainian enterprises, the impact of digitalization on employment structure, and the use of artificial intelligence in managing production capacity. The developed recommendations for assessing digital maturity, creating a transformation roadmap, forming cross-functional teams, and using the Agile approach can be applied by enterprises of various sizes to develop their own digitalization strategies. Digitalization contributes to improving working conditions through the automation of hazardous operations, the development of human capital, and the engagement of youth in the industry. For the first time, the challenges and prospects of digitalizing the management of production capacity have been comprehensively systematized, taking into account the specifics of Ukrainian enterprises under martial law and European integration, and adapted practical recommendations have been proposed leveraging the opportunities of a technological leap.
