Abstract: The issue of the relevance and objective necessity of introducing anticipative management into the management of the activities of enterprises, aimed at predicting and early response to manifestations of external threats in conditions of increasing uncertainty of processes in the markets and in society in general, is considered. The conception is revealed and the instruments of anticipative management are demonstrated, which are introduced for the first time into the enterprise management system and provide the possibility of a biased influence on threatening manifestations of the external environment. The system of analyzing the state of enterprises in the market is supplemented by the application of the category of the general indicator of the enterprise's activity, capable of most sensitively reacting to manifestations of external factors of a threatening nature. In order to observe a threatening phenomenon as early as possible, the concept of its weak signal is introduced as an early predictor of the emergence of threats in the future, an expert assessment of the duration of the process of accumulating threats up to their maximum possible value is introduced,reaching which leads to significant losses for the enterprise, which can be considered as its state of crisis. The decisive moment of the anticipative approach is the introduction of the concept of the bifurcation point as the extreme moment of taking anti-crisis measures, the action of which has time to prevent the development of the enterprise crisis. It is shown schematically that, having data on the duration of the process of introducing anti-crisis measures, the bifurcation point is determined by postponing the time of introduction of anti-crisis measures to the left on the time axis from the expected moment of the crisis.
