Abstract:
The article explores the current challenges and directions for transforming the business models of agro-industrial sector enterprises in the context of digitalization and global challenges. The authors analyze the factors driving the need for transformation: market dynamics, increased demands for product quality and traceability, the technological revolution (IoT, Big Data, AI, cloud services, UAV, robotics), climate and environmental constraints, as well as the impacts of military actions and logistic risks, which are especially relevant for Ukraine. Based on a bibliometric analysis, the study identifies the growing importance of research on digital business models after 2017 and the increasing interest in technology integration and sustainable development. The key digital technologies and their applied scenarios in agribusiness are described; the benefits (increased productivity, resource optimization, supply chain transparency, environmental sustainability) and main barriers to implementation (limited access to financing, outdated equipment, poor communication infrastructure, lack of digital skills, platform fragmentation, insufficient targeted government support for SMEs) are outlined. Practical directions to overcome obstacles are proposed: encouraging investment in digitalization and processing, developing infrastructure, training programs in digital competencies, compatibility standards, and targeted support through grant initiatives. Recommendations for further research are presented regarding methodologies for transforming business models for different types of agrarian enterprises, assessing the economic efficiency of digital solutions, and risk modeling, including cybersecurity.
