Abstract:
The aim of the article is a comprehensive study of the essence of an enterprise’s economic processes and to substantiate their role as an object influenced by the motivation of business actors in order to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of economic activity. The article presents a thorough analysis of existing approaches to the interpretation of the categories «process» and «enterprise economic process», which made it possible to formulate a specific definition. The economic process is examined not merely as a sequence of actions, but as a set of interconnected economic phenomena that are purposeful, systematic, dynamic, and cyclical. Based on a semantic analysis of scientific sources, it has been determined that the key elements of the category «enterprise processes» are «phenomenon», «interconnection», «input», «output», «resource», «change», and «development stage». This allowed for proposing an original definition of economic processes as a set of interconnected economic phenomena that ensure the transformation of «inputs» into «outputs» through the use of resources, as well as the sequential change of their states. Particular attention is paid to the role of motivation of entrepreneurial activity participants as a driving force influencing these processes. The article substantiates that the motivational impulse is the very «input» that initiates and guides economic processes, affecting the efficiency of resource utilization and, consequently, the final outcome of the enterprise’s activities. A diagram has been developed to visualize this interrelation, showing how motivation is transformed into measurable economic results. The main finding of the study is the substantiation of the conception according to which the economic processes of an enterprise are subject to motivational influence, allowing their course to be consciously managed to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
