Abstract: The article develops a conceptual approach to forming a business process management strategy in IT companies. It is noted that in the IT sector, strategic management is particularly important because technologies are constantly and rapidly changing, requiring companies to adapt promptly to new trends; market competition is very high, making it crucial to find a unique niche and secure competitive advantages. Furthermore, substantial investments demand the efficient use of resources by organizations. The key characteristics of IT companies and their impact on strategic business process management are identified. An authorial approach is proposed, based on the integration of agile management principles, digital transformation, and process-oriented thinking, adapted to the highly dynamic IT industry environment. The stages of forming a business process management strategy in IT companies are defined. It is noted that the successful implementation of a business process management (BPM) strategy in IT companies requires not only a clear methodology but also a thorough consideration of the organizational, technological, and cultural context. It is found that implementing a BPM strategy in IT companies involves not only executing a specific sequence of steps but also actively managing the dynamics of changes in the environment, structure, technologies, and organizational culture. It is concluded that one of the key conditions for effective BPM implementation is integration with internal and external IT architectures, including ERP, CRM, BPMS systems, API layers, cloud services, and automated release environments. Practical experience has shown that IT companies that implement BPM as part of their corporate strategy achieve higher operational efficiency, shorten product development times, improve service quality, and strengthen their competitive positions. At the same time, cultural and organizational factors play an important role – the level of process maturity, employee engagement, the presence of competence centers, and the ability to adapt and learn independently. Thus, a conceptual approach to BPM in the IT sector ensures not only efficient process management but also lays the foundation for the sustainable development of a company in the context of digital transformation.
