Abstract: The aim of this article is to conduct an in-depth study of the financial and economic stability of an agrarian enterprise as a form of static security for establishing its economic equilibrium dynamically, ensuring both current and strategic advantages in business resilience and competitiveness through the application of proactive crisis management measures. This aim is achieved by addressing research objectives that involve the theoretical substantiation and practical validation of the interrelationship between the concepts of «economic equilibrium». When its stability is ensured by a security system, the business acquires a new quality – resilience, which enables it to remain competitive in the market. The resolving of research objectives were carried out using general scientific and specialized methods and approaches: dialectical, inductive and deductive methods, analysis and synthesis, the logical approach, financial ratio analysis, comparative analysis, as well as tabular and graphical methods. The research results cover an assessment of the efficiency of the security system in an agrarian enterprise through the lens of its financial and economic stability. A trend was identified indicating an increasing threat to the economic independence of the business – a reduction in its resilience threshold and, consequently, a deterioration in competitiveness. The low quality of the security system at the agrarian enterprise due to the formation of a crisis-type financial and economic stability has been demonstrated. It is substantiated that the disruption of economic equilibrium has reached a critical point, the maintenance of which in the future would lead to the agrarian enterprise losing resilience and undermining the economic foundations of the business’s competitiveness. The methodological approach presented in the article can be applied in similar studies at enterprises of various types of economic activity to assess the effectiveness of their security systems in ensuring sustainable economic equilibrium – business resilience as a foundation for competitiveness. The practical significance of the research results lies in the potential to improve the economic security system at an agrarian enterprise by implementing diagnostics of the state of economic equilibrium to identify vulnerabilities in its stable form. Broad application of the approach outlined in the article in the practice of crisis management at Ukrainian agrarian enterprises, aimed at ensuring financial and economic stability through establishing an effective security system, will strengthen the resilience of the agrarian sector and, consequently, enhance its competitiveness in both domestic and global markets. Further scientific research should enhance the security instruments for fostering financial and economic stability as a specific characteristic of economic equilibrium to support the resilience and competitiveness of businesses in the current challenging environment of Ukrainian agrarian enterprises.
