Abstract:
The aim of this article is to provide a theoretical and methodological substantiation for the transformation of financial analysis as a tool for supporting managerial decisions under conditions of uncertainty and risk, as well as to identify the directions of its development in line with current challenges to enhance the quality of managerial decisions and the resilience of enterprises to changes in the external environment. The key trends in the development of financial analysis in today’s economic environment, characterized by increasing instability, market volatility, intensified competitive pressure, and the impact of digital transformations, are highlighted. The shift in the role of financial analysis is substantiated – from primarily a retrospective assessment of financial condition to a tool focused on supporting strategic and crisis managerial decisions. A step-by-step model for adapting financial analysis under conditions of uncertainty has been developed, reflecting the transformation of the analytical process in response to increased business risks and providing for a shift from static evaluation to continuous, risk-oriented, and management-focused analysis. It is proposed to supplement classical financial ratios with money-flow, risk-adjusted, and scenario-based indicators, which expand the analytical capabilities for assessing an enterprise’s financial condition, enable forecasting potential threats, identifying critical areas, and timely adjusting financial policy. The role of the financial analyst in the decision-making process, based on integrating financial information with the enterprise’s business objectives, is emphasized.
