Abstract:
The article explores current trends in the development of sustainable business models and substantiates the increasing role of crisis management amid growing local and global turbulence. The aim of the study was to identify efficient crisis management practices and to systematize approaches to forming modern business models of domestic enterprises that emerged and evolved under the influence of the ongoing full-scale war. The methodological basis includes the generalization and systematization of primary empirical data obtained from in-depth interviews with owners and top managers of companies across various industries and scales of operation, who demonstrated the capacity to ensure continuity of operational processes and maintain performance under crisis conditions. In total, eight respondents participated in the study. As a result, the key principles for shaping a modern sustainable business model have been identified, including: flexibility and adaptability as prerequisites for business continuity and swift decision-making; a human-centered approach encompassing employee safety, psychological support, and investment in human capital development; social responsibility and volunteer engagement as factors for building trust and community cohesion; efficient crisis communication emphasizing transparency, systemic approach, and strengthening internal collaboration; the increasing importance of crisis leadership grounded in humanistic values and emotional engagement; decentralization of management based on trust and delegation of authority; transformation of organizational culture toward partnership, proactivity, and accountability; institutionalization of modern management tools, including scenario planning and the VUCA concept, fostering a paradigm of flexible thinking and orientation towards alternative development scenarios. It is substantiated that implementing these principles enhances the ability of enterprises of various scales and industries to respond promptly to crisis challenges and sustain long-term resilience at both the national and global levels.

Keywords: sustainable business model, crisis management, risk management, crisis leadership, crisis communication, international business, global instability trends.
