Abstract:
The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the role of international investments in the postwar reconstruction of Ukraine’s economy. The study identifies current trends in investment activity under conditions of a wartime economy and the transformation of the State’s investment model. The dynamics and structure of investment flows, as well as the role of international financial organizations in ensuring economic stabilization, are examined. Key factors for the efficient attraction of investments are substantiated, and the main investment risks are systematized. A model for attracting international investments in the postwar period is proposed, based on institutional, financial, and integration mechanisms. The practical significance of the results lies in their potential use in shaping the State investment policy and economic development strategies for Ukraine. The aim of the study is a comprehensive analysis of the role of international investments in the postwar recovery of Ukraine’s economy and the determination of their impact on the formation of an efficient model of the country’s economic development. In conditions of full-scale war, Ukraine’s economy has suffered significant losses of production capacity, infrastructure, and investment resources, which necessitates the active involvement of international capital to ensure the recovery of the economy. The study used a systematic approach, methods of structural and comparative analysis, statistical method, economic-logical method, and method of generalization, which allowed for the investigation of the features of investment processes in Ukraine, the assessment of their dynamics, and the determination of the role of international investments in the reconstruction of the economy. The informational basis of the study consisted of materials from international financial organizations, official statistics of Ukraine, and scientific works of domestic and foreign scholars. It has been found that international investments play a key role in the processes of postwar economic recovery in Ukraine, providing funding for infrastructure projects, development of the energy sector, modernization of production, and implementation of innovations. A significant portion of the investments consists of financial assistance from international organizations, which contributes to the stabilization of the macroeconomic situation and support of the State budget. It has been proved that the efficiency of attracting international investments depends on the level of institutional stability, the development of financial markets, the protection of investors’ rights, and the implementation of structural reforms. At the same time, the main risks remain wartime threats, political instability, and corruption factors, which restrain the inflow of private capital. The scientific novelty of the study lies in the comprehensive substantiation of the role of international investments in the postwar recovery of Ukraine’s economy and the identification of key factors for their efficient attraction. The practical significance of the obtained results lies in the possibility of their use in the formation of State investment policy and strategies for the economic recovery of Ukraine.
