Abstract:
The article examines the significance of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route (TITR) as a promising logistics corridor for Ukraine. The stages of institutional integration of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" into the International Association of the TITR are outlined. The current state of the route, its advantages and limitations, as well as the prospects for the development of transit transportation are analyzed. The factors strengthening the strategic importance of the route under current geopolitical conditions are identified. Particular attention is paid to the role of the TITR in ensuring transport security, reducing delivery times, and decreasing dependence on traditional routes through russia and the Suez Canal. An analysis of the dynamics (2019–2025) of freight and container transportation through the TITR is conducted, revealing rapid growth in transit volumes, particularly after 2022, which confirms the reorientation of global logistics flows. Based on statistical data on foreign trade with the initiative's member countries (China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia), positive trends in strengthening Ukraine's trade positions have been identified. Through a SWOT analysis of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route for Ukraine, key factors influencing the route's effectiveness are identified: from the advantages of speed and transport security to the challenges of multimodality, infrastructure limitations, and technical discrepancies in railway gauge width. Opportunities for Ukraine in the context of global logistics are considered, namely: transforming Ukraine into a strategic transit hub between Asia and the EU, stimulating infrastructure modernization and deepening cooperation with the countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia. However, these prospects are constrained by serious threats, including direct military risks to infrastructure, competition from alternative corridors, and constant pressure on the side of the aggressor. It is concluded that Ukraine's efficient participation in the TITR will contribute to strengthening its geopolitical position and enable Ukraine to transform from a transit zone into a key logistics hub, ensuring the sustainable integration of the domestic economy into global supply chains between Europe and Asia.

Keywords: Trans-Caspian International Transport Route; international logistics; foreign trade; multimodal transportation.
