Abstract: The article explores the role of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in shaping the competitiveness of companies in international markets amid the globalization of the world economy. It is defined that the modern business environment is characterized by an increasing influence of intangible factors on competitiveness, among which socially responsible corporate activities hold a special place. It is substantiated that corporate social responsibility is not only an ethical imperative but also a strategic tool for enhancing the efficiency of foreign economic activities. The main scientific approaches to defining the essence of corporate social responsibility and its impact on companies’ economic outcomes are analyzed. It has been found that implementing CSR principles helps strengthen a company’s business reputation, increase trust from consumers and partners, and also makes it easier to access international markets and investment resources. Special attention has been paid to the role of CSR in ensuring sustainable competitive advantages for enterprises in the context of increasing international competition. It has been proved that for Ukrainian companies, integrating social responsibility into their development strategy is an important prerequisite for successful participation in international trade and adapting to the demands of the global market. At the same time, problems have been identified related to the insufficient level of CSR implementation in management practices and the limited understanding of its strategic importance. As a result of the research, the need for a comprehensive approach to implementing corporate social responsibility has been substantiated as a tool to enhance the competitiveness of companies, which will support their efficient integration into the global economy and ensure sustainable development.
