Abstract: The priorities for Ukraine’s future recovery and rebuilding, aligned with a clear direction toward European integration, lie in adhering to the principles and provisions of the European green deal based on sustainability, resilience, green transition, and innovation. The practical implementation of these requires involving the appropriate tools in all vital processes of Ukraine’s social functioning and life through the joint cooperation of all stakeholders. In the current context of promoting the principles of the green deal in the development of the Ukrainian economy, where the metallurgical industry remains a significant component, limited financial capabilities for supporting green industrial recovery and economic growth are a key consideration, communities have the opportunity to offer a favorable spatial environment for business development and human-centered recovery, using European experience in implementing sustainability principles based on shared values, compatible approaches, mindset, social programs, and so on. Among the priorities for spatial development are safety, realizing institutional potential, building capable staff, creating conditions for interaction and cooperation, expanding public-private partnership initiatives, creating a safe and comfortable living environment and opportunities for people, supporting business and attracting investment, promoting the development of a green economy, including green metallurgy as part of it, and more. The article looks into the practicality of choosing and using certain sets of local and regional tools aimed at supporting, developing, and implementing investment and innovation business projects, particularly in the area of green metallurgy, taking into account their impact on the development of other economic sectors and on the functionality and livelihoods of Ukrainian regions and communities. In other words, it considers the synergistic effect of such development, which creates additional opportunities for spatial development amid modern challenges. The relevance of a more detailed discussion about the development of green metallurgy and its impact on the functional state and living conditions of spatial territorial systems in Ukraine, considering the sector’s share and importance for the country’s green economy, is well substantiated.
