Abstract:
The article discusses the issue of transforming warehouse logistics in chemical enterprises from passive storage spaces into intelligent profit management hubs. The authors analyze the nature of hidden losses, which in Ukrainian enterprises account for 8% to 18% of production costs due to «controlled chaos» and the human factor. The article describes the main aspects of the research: technological tools (comparative analysis of 1D/2D codes and RFID technologies in the specific conditions of chemical production – aggressive environments, metal shielding); hybrid control model (substantiation for a differentiated approach to labeling – from QR codes for single-use containers to reusable RFID tags for euro cubes); production safety (description of the mechanism for automatically blocking the loading of unsuitable or unverified raw materials into a reactor, which reduces defects from 4.2% to 0.3%); economic effect (calculation of potential savings (from 16 to 40 million UAH per year for an average plant) thanks to reducing safety stocks and speeding up capital turnover). Special attention is given to Ukraine’s regulatory framework as of 2026, in particular the requirements for identifying batches of chemical products and harmonizing with EU standards. The article contains a step-by-step plan for implementing a through-control system, starting with pilot sites and ending with scaling to the entire enterprise. The material serves as a roadmap for managers of both chemical and non-chemical enterprises who want to eliminate invisible losses and ensure compliance with new market regulatory requirements.
