Abstract:
Existing studies on sustainable development and Industry 4.0 insufficiently explain a consistent mechanism linking corporate data, diagnostic indicators, causal deviation areas, responsible business processes, digital tools, and repeated performance control while accounting for the specific features of the confectionery industry. The aim of the article is to improve the methodological approach to analytical and diagnostic support for sustainable development management by developing a coordinated architecture of components, indicators, managerial priorities, and Industry 4.0 tools. The methodological basis combines systemic, process, stakeholder, and analytical-diagnostic approaches. The methods include theoretical generalization, critical literature review, structured content analysis, comparison, grouping, logical modeling, and matrix matching. Analytical and diagnostic support is substantiated as a continuous managerial loop integrating information, methodological, analytical, diagnostic, managerial, digital-technological, and monitoring components. A system of indicators is developed across five blocks: economic; social and workforce; environmental and energy; innovation and digital; organizational, managerial, and security. The study proposes the cycle «data sources – indicators – analytical processing – diagnostics – managerial prioritization – Industry 4.0 tools – monitoring and feedback» and a matrix linking a problem area to a responsible business process, an appropriate digital tool, and a controlled outcome. The approach is qualitatively illustrated using publicly available materials from PrJSC «Dominik», PrJSC «Kharkiv Biscuit Factory», and PrJSC «Kremenchuk Confectionery Factory «Roshen» without disclosing integral assessments or enterprise rankings. The scientific novelty lies in integrating indicator-based, causal-diagnostic, managerial, and digital-technological levels within a single industry-adapted model. The practical value is the possibility of using the approach to design indicator passports and management dashboards, prioritize digital modernization measures, and prepare enterprises for subsequent quantitative assessment.
