Abstract:
In the scientific literature, economic diagnostics of enterprises has developed predominantly within comprehensive, integral, system-dynamic, portfolio, and adaptive approaches; however, their methodological integration in the context of construction development remains insufficiently elaborated. The distinctions between comprehensiveness, integrality, and integrativeness in diagnostics remain conceptually blurred, while the corporate, project, portfolio, and ecosystem levels are generally analyzed separately. The aim of the article is to provide a theoretical and methodological substantiation of the genesis and paradigmatic evolution of economic diagnostics and to identify the industry-specific imperatives for the transition towards integrative diagnostics of construction development enterprises. To achieve this aim, the study employs methods of theoretical generalization, comparative, structural-logical, and cause-and-effect analysis, synthesis, and conceptual modeling. The sequence of diagnostic paradigm development is defined: from deviation control and financial-economic assessment to comprehensive, integral, system-dynamic, and integrative diagnostics. The distinctions are clarified between comprehensive diagnostics as the completeness of subject coverage, integral diagnostics as the mathematical aggregation of indicators, and integrative diagnostics as the identification of structural, temporal, cause-and-effect, and inter-organizational interdependencies. A multilevel framework of «enterprise – project – portfolio – stakeholder ecosystem» is substantiated, within which diagnostics covers not only the state and dynamics of the system, but also systemic imbalances, critical constraints, risk transmission channels, economic capability, and the feasibility reserve. Integrative diagnostics is proposed as a meta-level framework combining previous diagnostic paradigms, shifting the unit of diagnostic cognition from an individual indicator to a configuration of interrelated parameters and from resource potential to the system’s ability to meet its obligations and adaptively reconfigure itself. The practical value of the proposed approach lies in enabling the early identification of critical imbalances, assessment of the economic feasibility of the project portfolio, and substantiation of decisions concerning financing, resource provision, and reconfiguration of the development system.
