Abstract: The article substantiates the theoretical and methodological foundations for developing adaptive management strategies for industrial enterprises under conditions of global economic instability. The essence of adaptive management is revealed as a continuous process of aligning an enterprise’s internal potential with dynamic changes in the external environment, including macroeconomic volatility, geopolitical shocks, supply chain disruptions, and technological transformations. The key drivers of global instability are systematized, and the corresponding types of adaptive strategies are substantiated, including financial and structural, logistics and resource-based, technological and innovation-oriented, institutional and compliance-related, and market and product strategies. A multilevel conceptual model of adaptive strategic management for industrial enterprises (Adaptive Strategic Resilience Framework) is developed, which reveals the mechanism for coordinating the strategic, structural and resource, technological and operational, and control and monitoring levels of management through a feedback system. It is demonstrated that industrial enterprises, unlike service-oriented and digital business models, are characterized by higher adaptation inertia due to the capital intensity of their assets, long production cycles, and the physical nature of their supply chains. This requires a specific combination of structural flexibility, resource redundancy, digital process observability, scenario-based strategic dynamism, and organizational ambidexterity. The methodological tools for implementing adaptive strategies are systematized which include scenario planning, stress testing, early warning systems, monitoring of key risk indicators, digital analytical systems, supply chain management tools, resource redundancy mechanisms, and approaches to the dynamic reconfiguration of the strategic portfolio. It is shown that the efficiency of these tools is determined not by their isolated application but by their integration into a unified strategic management contour, within which monitoring results provide the basis for revising scenarios, reallocating resources, and adjusting strategic decisions.
