The Modern Practice of Formation of Strategy for Economic Development of Agriculture (p. 138 - 142)
In spite of the growing tendency, agricultural productivity in Ukraine still lags far behind other countries. At the current stage of rural development, the issue of the strategic economic development of Ukraine’s agriculture remains relevant, since on them depends to a large extent the country’s food security. The development strategy is the general program of action to continuously improve the performance of agriculture over the long term, thus ensuring the sustainability of the agriculture. Today there is a «Strategy for the development of the agrarian sector of the Ukrainian economy up to the year 2020». The aim of the Government’s Strategy and the Action plan on agricultural and rural development is to form an integrated, comprehensive, unbiased, and realistic strategy, as well as general principles for the reform of agrarian sector.
