Abstract:
The aim of the article is to assess the impact of digitalization on the competitiveness of service sector enterprises in Ukraine and to identify their development prospects based on forecasting financial indicators. The study looks at the activities of key players in the postal and logistics market: «Nova Poshta» LLC, «Ukrposhta» JSC, and «Meest Poshta» LLC. The article summarizes the features of implementing digital technologies in the operations of «Nova Poshta» LLC, «Ukrposhta» JSC, and «Meest Poshta» LLC, and points out the strengths and weaknesses of their digitalization. It was found that each operator has its own approach to digitalization: «Nova Poshta» invests more in technology and automation, «Ukrposhta» focuses on infrastructure modernization and service accessibility, while «Meest Poshta» concentrates on international logistics. The conformity of the operators considered with global digitalization trends was analyzed across several indicators – automation, AI/Big Data, parcel locker networks, digital customer experience, and cross-border digital. The evaluation of development trends of the postal and logistics operators under review was supplemented by a quantitative study of the dynamics of their financial indicators, for which the Holt’s method was used. It was concluded that the further growth of postal and logistics operators in Ukraine is largely connected to the digital transformation of their business processes. The highest growth in net income is shown by «Nova Poshta» LLC, which is actively implementing digital solutions in its operations. Also, this operator is expected to have the most favorable forecast in net income dynamics by 2026. For «Ukrposhta» JSC, which has partially digitalized, a moderate net income growth trend is observed. The study has showed that digital transformation interacts with the economic efficiency and market resilience of postal and logistics operators in Ukraine. Companies that are actively investing in digital technologies today will shape the competitive structure of the market over the next 5–10 years and play a key role in the recovery and development of the industry in the postwar period. Further research in this area should focus on a factor analysis of the impact of specific digital tools on the final financial results of operators.
