Abstract:
The article is dedicated to the issues of forming agribusiness security systems in the context of growing global instability, increasing warfare, economic, climate, and technological risks that significantly affect the operation of agricultural enterprises. The relevance of the study is driven by the need to rethink existing approaches to ensuring agribusiness security and shift from mostly reactive threat response mechanisms to strategic management focused on building adaptability, resilience, and long-term competitiveness of enterprises. The study aims to improve the foundations of strategic development for agribusiness security systems to ensure the long-term competitiveness and sustainable development of its entities. The article explores the development of approaches to understanding the economic security of enterprises, analyzes modern conceptions of strategic sustainability, adaptive management, resilience, risk management, and the development of dynamic capabilities, and summarizes the provisions of international approaches by the OECD, FAO, and World Bank regarding the formation of resilient agri-food systems. It was found that most existing approaches focus mainly on assessing individual aspects of economic security or risk management. Based on this, a scientific gap was identified related to the lack of an integrated conception for the strategic development of agribusiness security systems, and an authorial approach to addressing it was proposed. The feasibility of moving from functional management of individual components of economic security to creating a comprehensive adaptive system has been substantiated – one capable of responding promptly to changes in the external environment, forecasting risks, maintaining business continuity, and ensuring the strategic sustainability of the enterprise. Conceptual provisions for the strategic development of the agribusiness security system have been proposed, which, compared to existing systems, are based on a combination of adaptive resilience principles, strategic management, digital transformation, risk-oriented management, and innovative development. The approach also considers the security system as an integrating element of strategic enterprise management, which not only provides protection against external and internal threats but also lays the groundwork for its long-term development. The practical implementation of the proposed provisions will help improve security management efficiency, strengthen the competitive positions of agricultural enterprises, and ensure their sustainable development in a dynamic external environment.

Keywords: agribusiness; economic security; strategy; strategic development; resilience; adaptability; competitiveness.
