Abstract:
The article substantiates the theoretical and conceptual foundations of strategically oriented business process management in IT companies, as well as systematizes its key principles and methods in the context of the digital transformation of the IT sector. Within the study, a multilevel conceptual model of strategically oriented business process management in IT companies (Strategic Alignment Framework) is proposed, revealing the mechanism of end-to-end alignment of the company’s strategy with its operational rhythms across four interconnected levels: strategic, transformational, technological, and operational. It is found that the integration of objective digital tools and agile management methodologies creates a holistic basis for building an adaptive process architecture for an IT company. This ensures a continuous linkage between the organization’s strategic priorities and its daily operational activities, transforming business process management from a bureaucratic function into an efficient lever for ensuring sustainable growth. It is proved that processes in the IT sector are knowledge-intensive (KIBP), and their architecture is determined by the specifics of the business model (service, product, or hybrid). The author’s interpretation of strategic BPM is proposed as an adaptive approach to managing process architecture that aligns operational activities (specifically Agile methodologies) with long-term digitalization goals and competitive advantages. Key principles of BPM construction are systematized (synergy of BPM and Agile, Data-Driven approach, process resilience, customer-centricity, Kaizen), forming a systemic framework for balancing control and team autonomy. Furthermore, the methodological toolkit is classified by management cycle stages, substantiating the evolutionary transition to new-generation objective tools based on artificial intelligence and data analytics (Process/Task Mining, Digital Twin, RPA, Hyperautomation).
