Abstract:
The article addresses the fragmentation of existing theoretical and methodological approaches to studying the innovative development of agro-industrial enterprises, which typically examine the investment, technological, digital, ecological, or institutional dimensions separately, without providing a holistic view of the modernization of Ukraine’s agrarian sector under postwar reconstruction. The articleelaborates a conceptual model of innovative development of agro-industrial enterprises based on the systematization of current scientific approaches, the identification of the model’s key structural components, and the substantiation of the relationships between them. The systemic approach was applied, together with methods of scientific abstraction, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, structural-functional analysis, systematization and generalization of scientific approaches, and conceptual modeling. The principles underlying the innovative development of agro-industrial enterprises were systematized, namely systemicity, complexity, adaptability, innovativeness, digital transformation, sustainable development, integration, resilience, and continuity of development. An original conceptual model has been developed that integrates the external environment, sources of innovation formation, sector-specific features of agro-industrial production, the enterprise’s internal potential, mechanisms for implementing innovative development, its outcomes, and a system of adaptive feedback. The cyclical nature of interaction among the model’s structural components is substantiated according to the scheme «external environment – internal potential – innovation implementation mechanisms – outcomes – feedback system». It is shown that the sources of innovation formation include research institutions, agrarian universities, extension services, innovative start-ups, digital platforms, agricultural machinery manufacturers, as well as governmental and international support programs. The scientific novelty lies in the comprehensive consideration of the interdependence between internal and external drivers of innovative development and in treating this process as a continuous adaptive cycle, which distinguishes the proposed approach from existing linear or fragmented models that examine individual components of innovation activity in isolation. The developed model can be used as a theoretical and methodological basis for forming a system of indicators and an integral index for assessing the level of innovative development of agro-industrial enterprises, as well as for improving the mechanisms of strategic management of their modernization in the process of postwar reconstruction of Ukraine’s agro-industrial complex.

Keywords: innovative development; agro-industrial enterprises; conceptual model; digital transformation; resilience; institutional support; competitiveness; postwar reconstruction.
